Ok. Even though I haven't really experienced any problems with my factory mag or the Shooting Star mag I bought seperately, I broke down at the gun show today and bought two Wilson mags at 24.95 apiece. Then I got to thinking that I saw somewhere that the "good" Wilson mags have metal followers. These have plastic followers and base pads already attached. Have I been screwed again? Damn, I sure wish I'd get kissed once in a while!

Wilson mags come with polymer follows. Which is one of the things that make them so reliable. I've had three factory mags with shooting star followers which were not reliable. A Wilson spring and follower kit solved the problem. Wilson is the only mag I trust my life to.

Got Wilson mags with polymer followers for my Kimber CDP they are the best IMO. The one that came w/the kimber is junk. I use the Wilsons for daily carry. You have not been screwed.
