Semi-auto. Diamondback DB9, 9mm. Smallest 9mm semi-auto made. Easy for me to pocket carry. Also, because its not very expensive, I don't care about scratches, dings, etc. Yet, even after carrying it, it still looks fairly new.

For me, its all about what I can easily carry. FWIW, I don't even like carrying a cell phone or a wallet. So, some big, chunky piece of metal in a rig ain't going to cut it for me.

I’m getting my CCW next month. Planning on packing my S&W 29 with 8 3/8” barrel.
Still looking for a good ankle holster.

I am 76 years old. EDC is Colt Agent .38 Special in El Paso Pocket Max.

When active duty was in air wing rather than grunt, so was issued a S&W .38 revolver.
.
Only time I carried an M1911 in service was when I was OD or when escorting prisoners.

Today I only carry revolvers.

Sig P365X in the “man bag”, and/or LCP Max in my pocket.
Am looking at carrying the Sig in an IWB holster whenever I lose enogh weight around my gut.
My car gun for road trips is a Ruger SP101 .357 along with two speed loaders…

Currently i only carry semi auto. For a long while i carried a revolver, a s&w 642 daily.

For me it was the rise of the micro 9 pistols. Before you had slim-ish 9mm with low capacity, 5 to7 rounds, imho not worth it for just 2 rounds. Or chunky ones like the glock 26 that were just too blocky and did not offer enough grip space. Once the micro 9mm came out, holding 10-12rnds flush fit, with the same height and length, but skinnier because of no cylinder, well i had too, same size 100% more capacity.

I did have a gp100 a while back, shot it several times but i never carried it a single time.

Semi-auto the majority of the time. Revolver when I'm limited to pocket carry. Woods and fields revolver exclusively.
