I mainly shoot on a popular piece of public land where people shoot just about every weekend, however, it seems that almost NOBODY else picks up their brass there. That's where I get all of the extra calibers of brass. One person's trash another person's treasure!

So far I've resisted the Dark Side and I only reload for 3 calibers (.45 ACP, .30-06 Sprg and .243 Win)

If I'm picking up brass, I leave the ones I can't use for someone else.

Edit:

Can't count, or can't remember. I also reload .44 Mag, and I'll pick that up, too.

I picked up a 500 S&W Magnum just because it looks huge. Is this the beginning of a "problem"?

Brass collection...mostly

Great post! I really can relate to this! Before I could own any firearms I had a brass collection (age 12). My grandfather was huge on hunting/shooting, so I had a good source for different calibers. I took one moderate step between collecting brass and buying the firearms when I got of age. I was and am hellbent on shooting the type of gun first to see if I like it. Thankfully I had enough time to go shooting with uncles and friends before I was able to legally purchase firearms, so I've at least narrowed down the calibers on my "shoot or own someday" list.

You ain’t a real handloader unless you’ve got brass that you’ll never use in caliber's that you’ll never own. Molds and bullets too.

Thanks, Hog Buster. I was starting to think there was something wrong with me.
