Most SIG's dont have a safety. The traditional DA guns have decockers, and the safest way to carry them is decocked. DAO/DAK dont have a decocker, as they are not necessary.
Most all SIG DA/DAO triggers are usually very nice, and with the DA guns, the transition thing from DA to SA is overblown, and more of a shooter problem (if there even is one) than anything else. |

I seem to be in the minority, as SIG owners go, but having owned a P220 and a P229 in DA/SA, and a P239 in DAK, I actually like the DAK trigger better. (And I've sold the P220 - which I sometimes miss, and the P229 - which I never really warmed up to, to friends. Still have the P239.)
The only SIGs I can think of that have safeties are the P238 and the SA versions of the P220 and P226. Other SIGs, as AK103K noted, have either de-cockers or else nothing at all (DAK hammer falls to half-cock notch without any action necessary on the user's part). |

I have a Sig P220 Carry. It has never stove piped, nor failed to fire, nor jam in any way. The trigger and sights are as first class as it gets without going to a master gunsmith. You may also find the grip angle and the the ability to choose different grips a real plus compared to the Glock..
To me personally I would rather own one Sig that 3 Glocks. My friend AK103 and I go round and round about it but we both understand we like what we like.... Be very careful Sigs can be highly addictive and lead to more Sig purchases...... I can see a Sig P220 SAS Gen 2 in my future..... Enjoy! |

I lost my mind trying to respond. I'd have to show you. At a range. Let you shoot it...Draw it. Rapid fire it. Etc...Amazing gun. So amazing. I bought mine recently. I'm broke......Layaway does wonders. I HAD to have it!

I own or have owned just about all the manufacturers and Sig is my go to. Not saying anything bad about the other big name production pistols (Colt, Kimber, Glock, HK,Kahr, etc.) but IMO Sig has that little extra. Yeah you pay for the quality but in the event you are placed in an unfortunate situation IMO a few extra bucks are well worth it.

Sig p2022
I recently purchased this fine gun, although I am NOT a fan of plastic guns I found the SIG p2022 .40 cal to be really comfortable to my hand and very balanced even with out bullets in the mag ,not top heavy like most polymer guns in the market
there is a couple of things to look for in this gun 1st open your pinky when replacing mags or you will get pinky bite when the next mag gets slamed in ![]() 2nd very sensitive to limpwrist , firm grip all the way 3rd high bore axis , still shoots comfortably and accurately this is my first poly framed gun and loving it , tried the glock just hate its ergos , looks and trigger , the M&P smith never fit my hand and felt akward the same with the FNP 9 and .40cal why I decided to look for a poly gun? simple I cant afford 1k guns anymore |
