I've tried Mineral Spirits, I've tried Nu Finish.
These days I use walnut media, Meguiars Liquid Cleaner Wax and quartered (used) dryer sheets. I "prep" the media with a fair squirt of the Meguiars, tumble it for a while, then add the dryer sheet squares and the brass. About every third or fourth batch I re-prep the media with another squirt of Meguiars. I get really clean and shiny brass that stays shiny (because it's got a wax job?). I've been doing this for a few years now and several thousand rounds and it's worked great! |

Meguiars Liquid Cleaner Wax
That wax/cleaner works better than anything I have ever tried on my vehicles-easy on and off and it really works. Next change of media the nu-finish don't get used
