Finish flaws on my Beretta 96
Hello,
Through earlier neglect, some corrosion has occurred on the barrel of my Beretta 96. I would like to have the barrel, if not the entire gun, refinished as it was my first handgun. Anyone have any ideas on the best finish for such a job? Appreciate the help. Naheka |

I would see how much Beretta would get for a factory refinish, I suppose it is that Bruniton or whatever they use? Otherwise a nice matte blue or black parkerised would maybe match OK. But maybe not wear as good as the factory finish? Just maybe cheaper. You can make parkerising matte black with a special chemical that you dip the bead blasted steel into before the parkerising. Brownells sells the park kits and the chemical. Can be done at home, if you like DIY and want it cheap.

Alot of people on the Beretta forum use them. Their finish matches up well with the original Bruiniton finish that's on your Beretta now. Their prices and speed of getting everything back to you are excellent too. |

Much Appreciated...
Thanks jlwman and Tom2. Thinking I'm going with the CCR for the job.
Greatly appreciate the input. Bill |
