Found something I have never seen!
I ran across a set of RCBS Dies with a description of 338/284 WIN. The dude told me they were special made. That just did not sound right with me. Anyway I bought them, anybody have a need for them. Just thought it was interesting.

Yep, pure wildcat.
Not sure who first came up with it, but it was a one of a number of wildcats developed on the .284 case. It pretty much duplicates the .338-06 wildcat, only in a short-action cartridge. I've heard, but have never seen, of Savage 99s and Winchester 88s being rechambered for this round.
