Mosin-Nagant 1895 revolver

Trying to remove the cylinder from an old, beat up, rusted one.

Yes, I realize that the re-arsenalled, surplus ones are a dime a dozen out there.
But I don't much about these revolvers yet, and want to start by trying to salvage this one.
Besides, it didn't cost me anything.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

have tape, learning gun-smithing 101...

You have to get the cylinder rod away first by turning or pulling.

The revolver is Nagant's design, Mosin had no part in it.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Does the rod come all the way out?
I can barely get it to come out even with the end of the barrel.
Guess I'll have to go get the hammer and chisel...

have tape, and can always put it back together...
