Hello,
I just purchased a S&W 19 with serial number 63K6xxx. Can someone tell me the year of production please?

According to the Standard Catalog of Smith& Wesson, the date of production is 1980.
It should be a 19-4 model, with a pinned barrel, and recessed cylinder heads.
Good gun.

"It should be a 19-4 model, with a pinned barrel, and recessed cylinder heads."

Nah, you're thinking of the S&W 302 V8 with recessed cylinder heads and double overhead cylinder pins...

Sorry, just reread my post.
Recessed chambers, I don't know what I was thinking, or not as the case may be.
