Deescalation

Never be hot headed. I've seen some short tempered people. Better to yield/deescalate even if you're in the right.

We don't see what initiated the confrontation, but we see the shorter man knock the hat off the taller man's head. Taller man doesn't know how to fight (hands in poor position) and the shorter man who is blading gains grown.

Anyway, grocery store fisticuff turns out poorly with the taller man pulling a stabby thing and the shorter man respond by pulling out a handgonne. No shooting as the handgonne armed man backed off and ordered the knife wielder to get lost.

Think civil liability and remember there are cameras and cell phones everywhere (and everyone records everything nowadays).

Oh well, there's them's that feel there's no backing down from disrespecting or some suchness.

FWIW, since the day I got my first CCW ( years ago) I became the most mellow SOB on the planet. Cut me off in traffic and give me the finger and you get a happy 5 finger wave. The other day some skell bumped my ... er rear of my front with a shopping cart in the check out line. "Whoa, easy there cowboy. I'll be out of your way in a moment" with a smile.

Just how much is a lethal confrontation worth in danger, costs, incarceration, blahda blahda?

-jb, watching out for the "them's"
