Looking For FAL Optics....
Just a couple of years ago I could find old Israeli trilux sights for about $300. Should have bought one then. Now, they seem to be going between $1,200-1,500. This seems beyond absurd. But, who knows, weirder things have happened in the gun world.
Does anyone know a source for these things where they sell for ballpark $300? Or, are those days "long gone". |

Skans: these guys know everything about FALs along with many accessories, and are glad to share info. You probably knew this.
----You already checked with them? Three of my four FALs came from their Marketplace (well-vetted builders/sellers). https://www.falfiles.com/ |

Thanks, IO. I used to be a member of Fal Files - but have forgotten about it and haven';t been to that sight in years. I will take a look!

I shoot an STG-58, and sometimes hunt deer with it. In my case I acquired an Elcan Spectre scope that has a red dot, and light up reticle in it, along with a feature that switches it to a 4x scope. Of course I changed the standard dust cover to an aftermarket with rail, to mount it. That has been a wonderful pairing to my rifle, which allowed me to take a deer with it. I don't know what that scope cost now, mine came home with me from Afghanistan.
