I recently purchased this shotgun from a family selling late Grandpa's collection.. Grandpa didn't oil his guns, neither did his kids..
However, it will make a decent field gun, rust spots or not.. It's a 28 gauge btw.. I bought some ammo to give it a function test. Any thoughts or history of the LW would be appreciated. Thanks

i have had and still have 1100 remingtons and with a little care will last a life time of shooting. my 1100 trap gets a little care after 600 rounds and takes about 10-15 minutes to do. the small gages bring prety good money.

Just got home from a shooting session in which I took that little shotgun out. Shot two different loads, AA 7.5 SHOT 1300 FPS, and #6 shot Winchester Super X, 1205 fps.. boy Howdy, think it's a keeper man..
