Paul Moore, the gunsmith who developed the 22 LR Gatling Gun is dead
Paul Moore of Aguilar, CO died in a housefire this past Thursday.
Who? He's the gunsmith who developed the 22 LR or 22 Short Gatling Gun. He had a heck of a time with the feeding b/c of the rimfire bullet and it took him over a year to get it to work reliably. Anyway, I was told the PoPo seized his truck because he had difficulty operating it (he was no spring chicken), took his two dogs (unable to properly care for them) and all his guns. Besides the miniature Gatling guns, he also made flintlocks or percussion cap long rifles. His stocks were unique in that they had facets on them Paul also participated in Trinidad State Gunsmithing School's Art of the Gun where notable gun makers presented their pieces. He must have had black powder in the house and I was told that when his house went up, there were several explosions. He burned to death in the fire. Horrible way to go.

Oof! That's very sad. I once had a hankering for one of those rimfire Gatling guns, but I never followed through on it.
