Karma Alive and Well in Illinois

Recently, Illinois state representative Curtis Tarver was arrested in Illinois for failing to surrender his revoked Concealed Carry License. Tarver’s CCL was revoked after he let his Illinois Firearm Owner’s ID expire. Tarver renewed his FOID but failed to surrender his revoked CCL.

Ironically, Tarver had recently voted to make FOIDs more difficult and expensive to acquire, as well as cutting the renewal times in half. Tarver says the whole thing is merely a “clerical error.”

Perhaps in the future, Rep. Tarver will be a little more sympathetic to the issue of peaceable gun owners being made into criminals by unjust laws? Or too much to hope?

I doubt he cares what happens to the little man, because in his eyes laws are for the peasants.

My vote goes to "too much to hope."

That pretty much describes the attitude of the vast majority of politicians. It is also very telling regarding the idiotic nature of the laws they pass...

To sum it up: Politician commits felony offense, gets charged with paperwork misdemeanor.

One thing is true, whichever Country, or state you reside in. It is more a case of who you know, not what you know.
Me, I love Florida!
