GSG 522 lower trigger housing question
So I have a GSG 522 (as the title says), and i bought the conversion kit to bring it back to the the H&K MP5 style. However, I do not like either of the trigger housings. So I did find a SEF trigger housing that had the thumb rest and finger grooves, that looked really cool and comfortable. However, I'm not all that familiar with semi-auto rifles. My question is, I've seen the SEF housing on these before, but what happens to the full auto setting? What happens to the E section or F section? It has to remain semi-auto, so I'm not for sure how it works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure how the GSG is built, but if the MP5 trigger frames will work, they have to be "clipped". Clipping has to do with cutting the SEF frame to fit on semi auto guns, if you like the contoured grip I'd suggest one of these.
http://www.robertrtg.com/store/pc/HK...S-137p3005.htm In a semi auto gun the E and F positions on the SEF frame function the same way, semi auto. Other factors than just the trigger frame are required for FA. Hope this helps. |

The GSG 522 is/was an exact clone of the MP5. They were sued by Heckler and Koch, and therefore made to make slight modifications. like instead of the round front sight, they had to change it to the M1 sight. The grip and angle of grip had to be changed as well. But they came out with a conversion kit to bring it back to the original specs, prior to the lawsuit. The explanation of the E and F selector really did help. Thanks for that information. I ran across that sight before, but didn't know how the HK push pin set will work without the rear tang being there.
like this http://www.evike.com/products/26123/ Can the clipped and pinned model still use these push pin?

Well no the "pinned" is where they cut a pushpin in two and either glue or solder them onto the frame where the pin on a FA gun would be, purely cosmetic.
Looking at the link you provided I don't think the HK grip frames will work, but I can't say for sure not having one in front of me. |
