help with california gun laws

I am from ny (our laws suck too), a guy from California wants to buy my ruger pc9 carbine. Is this gun legal there? Semi-auto, takes a 10 round detachable magazine, sporter style stock. No muzzle break or any other extras on it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

IANAL, but wouldn't you have to transfer it to someone from out of state through a FFL?

For Rifles this is the best source for info on the CA bans (except for an actual lawyer familiar with CA Firearm regulations)

It doesn't matter if it is legal in California, it has to be legal where you are, and it must be shipped to an FFL in your state for transfer. For example, our Legislature recently passed a bill that will (if signed into law) ban the sale of any semi-auto rifle with a detachable magazine While currently owned weapons with "bullet buttons" will now be illegal 'AW"s, with registration will allow owners to keep them until sale or death. Sales at any time must be to persons out of state.

Looks like this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ruger_PC4.jpg
If so, PC9 in that configuration is CA legal as-is, for now.
16.24" barrel (> 16" minimum), 34" overall (> 30" minimum)
