284 Lapua brass?

I got some 284 Winchester brass and some brass stamped 284 Lapua. Are they the same cartridge or is the Lapua a 6.5-284 Lapua but just stamped 284 Lapua ? I can't find a Lapua 284 anywhere on their website? Just confused. Never loaded this round

I have never seen just a 284 head stamp on Lapua. Unless this is new.. To get Lapua in .284 Win, You have to neck up 6.5-284 Lapua brass.

I gt a bag that says 284 Win and a bag that says 284 Lapua but on Lapuas' website it doesn't show just a 284 Lapua it only shows a 6.5-284 Lapua.

Put the case mouths up against each other. .284 Win neck is for .284 bullet. 6.5-284 neck is for a .264 bullet, and so is .020" narrower. You can see that easily. You can measure it with a caliper easily.

I think brass in the bag on hand trumps the website.
If it is headstamped .284 I would suspect it IS .284 whether Lapua or Winchester.

Are you saying that both bags are manufactured by Lapua? I have Never seen Lapua in a bag????
If so, I was not aware they were producing .284 Win. Measure the Neck, that should clear it up.
284 Win has gotten popular again, Good for them..everyone I know necks up..
