xds sights

can anyone tell me if the xds has fixed front sights or are they able to be adjusted side to side.....thanks

Yes they are dovetailed into the slide,and can be drifted left or right.

Hey, I own an XDS in 9mm and you can drift the sights (like mentioned above) both left or right. The front sight is fiber optic and the rear sight is the 2 white dot. Hope this helps!

If the sights on an XDs are as tight as on my XD, expect a struggle. I think my gunsmith used a drift punch, but this was to replace them with night sights, so he wasn't trying for fine adjustment. If the gun is for self-defense you shouldn't need to adjust them; your aim won't be that good under stress, anyway.

The most pleasant load to shoot in this gun I have found are Federal premium 185 grain match SWC; assuming you are talking about the .45. This one load impacts 2 inches right but dead on north and south. All other loads strike dead on. At least for me and I'm a lefty.

If I decide to carry this load I may adjust this sight.
