Dillon case feed plates? Anyone made one?

I have the small pistol one, but was thinking of trying to make the other 3 types has any one else try this yet?

Funny this thread popped up, I just benched my sl900 shotshell loader (Based on the 650) and was wondering how to convert to pistol and rifle. The case feed plate would need to be changed among lots of other things, Wonder if acrilic or for that matter wood, could work?

Sell it on fle-bay you could get more than a new XL 650 cost, then buy a 650 and have $ leftover for components, “if you can find them“.

I have made them for entire collators that I have built. Some smaller than the Dillon, some much larger.

If you have a CNC mill it is really easy.

I just built fixtures for use in a manual mill like these.

If all you have is the normal house hold hand tools, just buy them, unless you have a lot of time on your hands.

This one is almost the exact same as the Dillon and has even been converted to a case feeder since this photo.

Why in the world would you try and make something that you can buy for $39 ( and they're warranted for life ) ....???

You can certainly do what you want ....but materials and labor will be significant....( mostly labor )..../ and if it doesn't work right even 10% of the time...what the heck did you accomplish...???

Thanks for your thoughts. Just thinking outside the box. I work in a wood shop so things would be cheap.
