Starline is good. Other alternatives?
In trying to order from Midway Germany, I've been told that my first choice, Starline, is out of stock for the forseeable future.
So do I wait for an unknown period of time, or go with another brand. If the latter, then which one?? This is for loading .44 Rem Mag, some loads of which will be hot Please vote!! |

If the reloading component supply in Europe is anything like here in the states, You may have a time of finding any 44 mag brass. You may need to take what you can find while waiting for your prefferred Starline brand. I've had good results with Winchester and Remington in the past.

I've looked at prices. Starline was in fact the cheapest too.
Hornady was twice the price!! Staggering. I think I'll wait. I'm glad I've found a source of brass that I can access, but I am not so pressed that I'm going to get extorted!! |

From what I remember sometimes the import duty is worse than the shipping costs. I have used several different brands of brass for pistol loads. Starline for me has been the best followed by Winchester. RWS brass has also been very good. I would consider just about any brand so long as the price was reasonable.

In my experience (mostly rifles lately) Hornady is pretty awesome brass. Only drawback for Starline is it doesn't always seal @ BP pressures but that hasn't been an issue for me.
