Which Sigs, Rugers, or CZs are all steel?
As the title suggests.
I have been feeling surprisingly drawn to all steel, over the last few months. I am unlikely to sell the G19 purely to handle steel, but I'd still like to know what my local market offers and the three brands above are the easiest to buy. I know CZ are metal, but I am under the impression they are aluminum-framed, steel slide-d. This appeals to me less. So, what do these brands offer, in their current production line-up (not second hand) that is trully all-stell, not all metal. Calibre must be 9mm. |

No Rugers, only 1 or 2 Sigs. I think some of the all stainless guns are all steel. No current production S&W's although there are lots available used. About the only all steel semi's are the CZ's and their clones, BHP's and clones and 1911's. Most CZ's are all steel, but they offer aluminum framed versions.

I thought they all had aluminium frames, not the other way round... With the Sigs, do you know which? |

Sig offered an all SS 226.
I think an all SS 229 or 220 was also offered. |

In the CZ line the 75B, 85B, 85 Combat, 75B SA, Compact, and variants of the SP-01 Shadow are all steel.

Disregard: JN01 cleared that up for me.

All-steel Sigs in 9mm include the full-size P226 Elite Stainless and standard model (no beavertail) in Black Stainless, the mid-size P229 Elite Stainless, several competition variations of the P226 X-5 series, and the legendary P210.
Since the OP did not specify what type of 9mm ... Ruger makes an all-stainless Blackhawk single-action with a 9mm cylinder. ![]() |
