Refinishing a gun part

I have just finished fitting a new beavertail grip safety & have taken off
a lot of the original blue finish. What is the best way to restore a durable
finish? Is it paint, a blueing product? Thanks,
MB

Oxpho-Blue works very well for touch-ups. It's a cold blue available at www.brownells.com

I like Kleen Bore "Black Magic".
Very easy to work with and looks great.
