Source for upgraded Beretta 92 locking blocks

Anyone know where to get the "new and improved" Beretta locking blocks?

Is Beretta the only source? (I hope not!)

Brownells has them: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=2...-92FS-USE-WITH. This doesn't include the plunger or pin. For $13.64 more (before shipping), Beretta sells the block with the plunger, pin, and a standard recoil spring.

Thanks, Austin. That's surprising, as I have usually found Beretta to be through the roof on prices.

If you have one of the old style blocks with the round pins, you'll have to have a new pin to fit the new block since the cutout for the pin is a different shape on the new blocks. The kit is probably a good idea.

The thread below has some good information on the different locking blocks and shows why an old pin won't fit a new block.

David Olhasso; Beretta 92/96 pistols...

+1 on the Brownells & BerettaUSA.com posts.
I'd add pistolsmith & well known match/target shooter David Olhasso's main website; www.Olhasso.com . Olhasso is known for parts & service work on Beretta firearms. He may have the parts you need or other service work you might want to obtain for your 92 model pistol.

No problem. And yeah, they usually are. As a matter of fact, they used to sell the locking block kit for almost $60, but it's been $36 for quite a while.
