FH FiveseveN

I have to confess that I am very taken with the FN FiveseveN, so much so that I am thinking of buying one.

I have read many positive reviews and watched a number of YouTube reviews from what seem to be generally pleased owners.

I would be grateful for the views experiences of any owners on TFL.

Go for it. Great gun, accurate, reliable and fun to shoot.

I think you will find the large majority of owners are quite happy with their purchase and enjoy shooting the pistol. I know I do.

I don't have one, but my friend does. It's a fun little gun. It has always felt like a BB gun to me, but it performs great!

Mine worked flawlessly and was hyper accurate. I sold it because I didn't care for the handling characteristics of it and the short pistol barrel reduces the effectiveness of the cartridge. I can't say anything bad about the gun. If it fits your good you will be pleased.

It was going to be my bug out handgun because of the capacity vs weight compared to my Glock 21.

Is this caliber/cartridge used in any other firearms? Rifles?

Thanks -

Only other gun I that uses this cartridge if I recall is the FN PS90 carbine. Though I may be wrong about that.

There is a company that makes an AR upper that uses the 5.7. Conveniently called the AR-57. I believe there is also a savage bolt rifle that uses it as well

We have a used Hughes Precision AR rifle for sale that uses ps90 mags and its bottom eject. Shoots the 5.7 round and looks pretty sweet.

You will love the gun. Once people own one they are stuck on them for life. Most people who say bad either don't want to pay to shoot one or don't like the look. If you like it and have the $$$ Get R Done!!!

It may be a real nice gun, i dont have any experience with it personally. But imo, its just plain ugly! I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, i guess i dont have that eye in my collection.

Some of us don't go by looks but by performance. How do you think all the ugly women get hitched?

As a Glock man trust me it aint the looks LOL.

The FN 5.7 is currently the top 3 on my list of next guns to buy. The top is a Smith 629 classic 5" .44mag. I 've shot the 5.7 many times and I love it.

Oh man I passed on a clean 629 classic S&W for 500 bucks last year. The guy sold it for 650 to a customer shooting at the range 5 minutes after I passed on it.

He was giving me a deal because I'm a friend and RSO.

It's on my short list too. I'm really wanting to try, and possibly buy, a 5.7. Supposed to get with a local public defender, only times we are friends, lmao, and shoot his, and his P90. Seriously looking forward to it!

And then to find one in my price range!

If I had the money it would be the one on top of my list as one to play with.

Nasty little round

There's always a flyer

I have had a FiveSeven for some years now. I think of it - i have said this before - as a varmint rifle that I can put in my pocket.
With my 64 year old eyes, seeing the iron sights (polymer sights?) on any handgun is not as easy as it used to be. I had the 5-7 at the range the other day and was pleased with this group that I shot at 100 yards. Seated on the ground, gun and hands supported by my knees. Seems like there's always a flyer to spoil things :

I think it's a neat little round with alot of potential. However, the proprietary pistol is IMHO overpriced and the rifles are a bit too unconventional for my taste. If other companies could chamber their guns for it or FN made their weapons more "normal" it would become much more popular.
