.380 ACP Utility

Considering that the size and weight of 9mm semi-autos has reduced considerably over the past decade or so, one wonders about the utility of .380 ACP. Would it be right to state that a .380 semi-auto now basically serves the purpose of a pocket pistol only? It seems like an over-simplistic statement, but seems that is the reality. I am open to any comments/opinions. Thanks.

Kaiser,

Please post your questions ONLY once, and in the forum most applicable to your subject. Many, if not most, TFL members hit most of the forums and will see your question.

I moved the post (with 5 replies) you made in General Handgun discussion to the Semi-Auto Forum and am closing this one as a duplicate.
