22LR Target Scope

I've decided to get a 22LR bolt gun & thread the barrel to use with my suppressor but am not sure of what type of optics to sling on there.

I'm looking for something with Target Turrets that will magnify at least to 14x & would prefer to stay under $500 but will shell out more if there's a good reason to.

I've had very good experience with Nikon. Here is some copied text from their website...

The Nikon Monarch scope comes in a variety of magnifications and objective lens diameters: 2-8x 32mm, 2.5-10x 42mm, 2.5-10x 50mm, 3-12x 42mm, 4-14x 42mm, 4-16x 50mm, 5-20x 44mm, 6-12x 50mm and 8-32x 50mm.

It looks like they have something for you...

22LR target scope

Before I had caterac surgery my eyes were extremely bad.
I went to a, no longer made, Bushnell Sports View 4x12-AO scope for around $85.00. The scope focuses to 15 feet. Most scopes close focus to 30 yards.

Seems like a lot of scope for a 22, but what do I know? Weaver SuperSlam fits the bill. Good optics, good quality, good warranty, good price. And tough, you could drive nails with it.

A Mueller 8-32×44 Side Focus would fit the bill and be a good choice; I use Mueller scopes on my rimfires with no problems.

I also would go with the side focus. Never had one, but I have had A.O. sometimes they can be a pain. That part I like. Sounds like with that amount you should be able to find some nice optics.

Heres one, don't know if you can find them anymore, (he!!, I dont even remember how I got it) its a Remington fixed 24 X, setting on a H&R 5200.

I've cleaned serveral ISU & NRA 50 ft SB targets with it shooting English Matches.

I dont think it would be worth a hoot for rabit hunting but for target shooting I haven't used anything better.

Its fun to use if you want to empress your grandkids with your 22 shooting. Remember the AX trick, hitting the end of a double bladed ax, splitting the bullet and popping bloons on each side of the ax, I've entertained grandkids doing it with shotshell out of a revolver, but with this set up, you dont need shot shells.

Grandkids think their old grandpa is a regular Ed McGivens (how many grand kids even know who he was).

Not a good picture but you should get the ideal.

For 50-yard rimfire targets a Weaver T-36 would be good. And they're only about $390. I have a couple.

For $550 there's "Leupold VX-II 6-18x40 AO Riflescope Target Dot Reticle"

I use 4.5-14X Simmons ATV scopes on three of my rimfires and they're beautiful scopes. I don't think they make that model anymore, but any scope in that power range would work well for you. I think Burris makes a good .22 scope at reasonable prices.

Check Cabelas...I remember seeing a pretty good variable rimfire scope for $99 a few months ago, but not sure about the brand.

I agree with johnbt on the Weaver T36 and the Leupold VX-II 6X18. I'm now using a Weaver T36 on a Remington 40X for 50yd benchrest. A cheaper scope that's surprised me is The Bushnell Banner 6X18. I just bought a CZ 452 and needed a scope fast. I had a new Banner laying around, which I got on sale for $124. It's actually a very good scope. Focuses to 10yds out. CZ452 with Banner 6X18.....

I know this isn't exactly what your looking for but has anyone here had any experience with the Bushnell Elite 3200 10x fixed target model? i was looking at one for my 22lr.

Sorry to hijack your topic but i thought it would look dumb to make another 22lr target scope thread :P
