MAK90

Awhile back I bought a Maadi MAK90 on the cheap. The furniture was in rough shape hence the low price. It shoots great buy I have never done anything to improve its looks.

My wife is buying me a ATI Fiberforce Dragunov stock for my birthday next week.

I'm thinking of adding a scope to this gun, either a red dot or maybe a MIL-Dot. Does anyone have experience with the reciver cover mounts like this one: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AKS020-6.html

How well do this work? Will they hold zero or close to if I take the reciver cover off?

I would like have the option of swapping covers as I am also considering a set of Tech-Sights (AK100S) http://www.tech-sights.com/

This will mainly be a plinking / Mall Ninja gun with a little HD (I consider all my guns to be HD).

Any other add ons or mods I should/could be considering?

I had this. It will sit very high, keep that in mind. I had a red dot on it I got from WalMart and the AK recoil shook the thing apart.

There's two allen screws that secure the dust cover down. It will hold zero but if you take it off you'll have to re-zero it.

Read the product reviews. There are two of these. One shakes so bad the rivets fall out. The one that comes with scope rings is the better one, I think that's the one you're looking at.

Yes. Look at the Midwest industries forearm. This will eliminate the height problem. There is a newer one coming out that has a gastube space for a RedDot micro sight that gives co-witness with irons. I will probably get one for the Saiga I plan on buying.
