I cannot comment on most Rugers, but I do own a Colt SAA made in 1889, a Colt 1851 Navy made ? An 1851 Navy, Italian repro, and a Ruger Vaquero Bisley. All are easily and naturally (feeling)cocked one handed, all have the hammer "fall easily to thumb", especially the Ruger Bisley.
As an aside, my Grandad, a gun collector, had a real Colt Bisley. Wasn't "pretty" like a SAA, so I didn't choose it when his estate was settled. I was too young to know or understand what the Bisley was back then. (50's) Ahhh the foolishness of the young. Now I'm just old and foolish. Roger

This version of the thread was an accident. Can you please re-post at:
http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=385842 And can we lock this one? Thanks.

The mods could probably merge the thread rather than lock thusly negating the need for reposting.
