Pulling bullets apart
I recently ended up removing the bullets and powder from some loads that I just didn't like. Can one reuse the powder and bullet. The bullet will have the crimp mark in them, still o.k to use?

Yes, of course, for both and all 3,(3 being the primer). Nothing bad happens to a bullet being seated, unless it wasn't flared enough, then it can get scraped a bit. Unless the powder is contaminated, it too can be reused.
Pull-down powder has been sold to reloaders for years, good stuff Maynard! |

That is the best way to safely take care of any unwanted ammo.
If you are using an inertia puller, you may want to pad the recovery chamber with something soft like an ear plug to keep from damaging the bullet tip on some soft points. The primers are best reused in the same case if possible, but if not use them only for plinking rounds as the integrity of them cannot be depended on after decapping, some will advise against it at all. n the powder, you must be absolutely positive on what powder it is if you are going to reuse it. any questions and it should be destroyed by puting it in the garden/lawn or flushed down the biff. As for the crimp mark, that might be the same crimp area again??

I did use an inertia puller. I separated the powder from the bullets. when I made these bullets I put the info with the bullets so I knew what type of powder it was. I put that back in the correct canister and reused the bullets. I have other questions but figured it would be best to ask one at a time. I do know the basics and have read all 3 manuals I own. There are just some things that the manuals don't explain.
