Diamondback

I am looking at a clean Colt Diamondback in .38 Special. I own a .22 Diamondback and have been looking for a .38 for some time. This .38 Diamondback appears to have a large gap between the cylinder and the barrel. Is this normal for a Diamondback? I own several other Colt revolvers and none appears to have such a large gap.

I don't know what you mean by a "large gap", but no quality revolver should have a BC gap more than about .010, and .007 is better. If you don't have feeler gauges, two sheets of ordinary copy paper will run .0075"-.008".
