Win.571

Awhile back I was given a box with diff.powders. In it were two cans of Win. 571. Times being what they are, I would like to use it but can't find any load data for it. I reload 1/2 dozen popular handgun calibers and a number of rifle calibers including 30 cal. carbine. Anyone have any load data for it???

Technically the same powder as HS-7. Discontinued a few years back; good for 12 gauge slug loads and heavy field applications. Try the WW booklets from 14th edition on.

Win 571 makes a good 20ga. shotgun powder. Word is that Win 540 is the same as Hodgdon HS6 and Win 571 the same as HS7 and starting load data can be used for HS7 to work up loads for Win 571.
Winchesters 15th Edition Loading Guide from 1997 showed these loads for 571 using all Winchester components of course.

Be careful with this data especially switching to other components. Like mentioned Winchester used Win cases, primers, and bullets for this data Try cross-referencing this data with HS7 powder. Use at your own risk. Win did not give any overall lengths for loaded rounds and deeper seating can raise pressure.
