I don't think there are any FULL auto shotguns. All that I know of are SEMI-automatic.

There are, or at least have been, some full auto shotguns, but I know of none that are available for sale to individuals in the U.S.

Yes there are a few.
I like and have USAS-12 by Daewoo. Its heavy but that takes care of the recoil. Take 10 shell mag or 20 shell drum. Very nice for guard on duty. |

Rock & Roll Shotguns
LHB1 - there have been full auto shotguns since the mid 1960's. I believe there were training shotguns that were full auto used during WW II for gunners aboard aircraft. My mind says they were called M11-43.
On one of my deployments to SE Asia we toyed with a experimental Remington (1100) called the M-7188, it was a select fire weapon. The 2 problems with it were it jambed A LOT, and a 600 rpm it eat through 8 rounds too quick. latter in the late 1980's I had the pleasure of running a select fire USAS-12 (universal sporting automatic shotgun - 12 gauge) , drum fed. It was VERY heavy and clunky, it's rate of fire had been reduced and made it very manageable. Firing a case of ammo thru it with no malfunctions!!!! In the Mid-1990's H&K experimented with a full auto M1 Super 90, (another H&K answer to the question no one asked), demoed at the ADA county sheriffs range. Again 8 rounds goes to quick!!!! chickenman hit it on the head SQUARLY, I have had the great pleasure of cranking off the Auto Assault-12 (AA-12) twice ![]() ![]() ![]() Rock and Roll Shotguns, have VERY LIMITED, IF ANY real use in the LE and civilian world, BUT they sure do put lead in my pencil ![]() Good Luck & Be Safe |

I'd go get a saiga 12, put a side folding stock on it, take it to your local class 3 dealer/manufacturer, and ask him to convert it to fully automatic. That would be MY choice

GenCon
I've long been under the impression that R-'n'-R shotguns were banned under the Geneva Convention. Of course, when engaged against a non-signatory nation, the gloves come off. Perhaps it's one of long held misconceptions -- the older I get, the more seem to be debunked.
Scattergun Bob, Thanks for sharing your experiences. |

I guess AA 12 would be more appropriate. In future weapons program of discovery channel, they demonstrated its newer version & it sure was devastating. Here is the link on youtube

I thought you meant a Beretta AL391-Xtrema sporting gun with AA 12-Ga. ammo. I did a google for the Xtrema2 and came up with a Youtube showing some typical trick shooting with hand tossed targets. The USAS-12 has been around for a while, but the AA-12 (the gun, not the ammo) is new to me. It's not your father's AL391. |

Remember Zeeshan is in Pakistan, so U.S. laws don't apply.

I remember seeing a demo of full auto shotgun back in the early 70's at Fort Devens, the weapon was mounted on a ring mount and looked similar to a Bren gun but was belt fed rather than box fed. I was pretty young when I saw it, but it was being developed for a close range defensive weapon for convoys and boats. It was loaded slug buck slug buck for the whole 80 or so rounds in the belt.
The test object was a rambler wagon, (it sticks out because they were shooting up the same car my mom drove) and at 60 or so yards, it was shredded in just a few seconds..... I think now the same job is taken over by the 134 minigun.i |

I won't call Zeeshan a troll, but his question does make me raise an eyebrow. Why would someone from Pakistan ask such a question on a predominately American forum. Not trying to step on anyones toes here.

If you happen to find a copy of the complete guide to U.S. military combat shotguns, you will see the linage of US select fire scatterguns, you will also get to see a picture of a handsome 22 year old naval "salty Dog" me!
![]() These type of weapons have always been in the closet and used by covert troops. AA-12 might just make it to the main stream if the Frag-12 projectile lives up to its hype. Good Luck & Be Safe |

Zeeshan did this exact same thing in regards to 1911's in the semi-auto forum...
however he strikes me as more of a curious bloke than anything else |

After sleeping on it and having a work discussion about the question asked here I am now convinced he IS A TROLL.

LOL, you guys are so suspicious. Maybe he is going to cross into Pakistan and take the fight to Al Quaeda. I have tried a few firearms forums and this is by far the most active and helpful general info forum out there. Zeeshan probably came to the same conclusion.
