Help me choose MSH/Trigger combo *pics*

I have pretty much narrowed it down to three options.

Which would you chose?

Option 1: Ed Brown Stainless Chainlink MSH & Caspian Aluminum trigger

Option 2: Swenson Stainless Checkered MSH & Caspian Aluminum trigger

Option 3: Swenson Black Steel Checkered MSH & Swenson Black Aluminum Trigger

Option 4: Ed Brown Black Steel Chainlink MSH & Swenson Black Aluminum Trigger

This is the gun on which they will be going.

I'd personally keep it all stainless.

I would vote for option 4 as well. I always liked stainless guns with black accessories...but thats just me. Plus, the checkered MSH looks like it would be painful after a long day at the range, whereas the scalloped one looks more comfortable and unique.

Why do you want a trigger with holes in it?

I guess a shiny solid trigger would look ok, but I don't understand the swiss-cheese look.

My gunsmith doesn't have the highest opinion of Swenson parts (not the originals, just current production), so personally I'd go with ed brown parts, as I've had good luck with them. Actually his extended thumb safety ends up on most of my 1911's I like it so much for general use.

The chainlink MSH looks bad ass, and I would keep everything stainless. So, I voted #1.

It makes the trigger lighter.

It makes the trigger lighter.
Triggers are lightened to reduce the possibility of trigger bounce, causing doubling with light trigger pulls under recoil (rearward inertia from the heavy steel trigger was enough to trip the sear again). The holes come from the old gunsmith practice of drilling the stock steel trigger of old USGI and early commercial guns in order to lighten it and prevent bounce. With the introduction of aluminum trigger shoes, this concern was eliminated and the holes became superfluous except in the cases of exceptionally light target triggers.

They are unnecessary for any weapon which has anything close to the standard 4-5 lb trigger thought to be optimal for defense work. Some enjoy the asthetics of them, on the right weapon I agree. I generally prefer solid triggers but my tastes are more traditional.

I personally love the look of stainless pistols with black elements (trigger, safety, slide lock lever, ect.).

My vote goes to the " Ed Brown Black Steel Chainlink MSH & Swenson Black Aluminum Trigger "

I voted for #2, the Swenson Stainless MSH & Caspian trigger, although I'd prefer an arched MSH (I have the Smith & Alexander arched MSH on my 1911.)

There needs to be an option #5. I'm not a fan of flat-faced triggers, so if the Swenson trigger comes in stainless, it would go well on that gun with either of the stainless MSHs.

The first one I think better fits the comic book style you have going with the Punisher grips.
