Sorry, i cant give you a yes or no to your answer, but i do know that Beretta has been in the arms business for over 200 years and they have produced some of the best quality arms around. Some of there work meets or exceeds Purdy, Rigby, H&H, and so on. In my thinking, you wouldnt go wrong buying one, its a darn fine looking rifle. Also,some good reading by R.L. Wilson is The World of Beretta---An International Legend. It's not an answer to your question, but now i want one!

Those look really nice....I wish they offered a 16" .357 mag version....

The one I borrowed was very nicely made. There are some alterations to the original Colt design, and parts are not interchangeable. The mag feeding system was improved, the slamfire feature removed, and a "speed limiter" incorporated.
