Is your favorite gun visible from space?

Mine is.

Occasional poster here. What you see below is a transonic impact gun I designed, supervised construction of, and now operate. It's not a firearm in the traditional sense (it's really nothing more than a VERY large potato gun), but I figured folks here would enjoy it regardless. In any event...

As seen from space...

And as seen from a bit closer...

Could you tell us a little about how it works or what you use it for? I would assume that launches a wicked pumpkin

Having now watched the video, I've come to a couple of conclusions. One: You are clearly a man with a high degree of intelligence and know-how. Two: I think it would be really cool to be your neighbor!

Hmm...

1) Elevate the muzzle.
2) Use a pumpkin for the projectile.
3) See how far it goes.

CLC: It's what's known in the potato gun world as a hybrid. It uses both compressed air and combustion to operate. Basically, throw some compressed air and fuel into a chamber and light a match. 'Tis very similar to the inner workings of an internal combustion engine. I just use propane instead of gasoline and my "piston" isn't attached to a crank shaft.

@2damnold: Of course. I had to work hard for that acronym!

@RamitOne: Yeah, you'd think we'd start using Kentucky Windage, but so far we just keep hitting about a foot low and left and each time acting surprised.

Not sure that red tip on the muzzle is legal.

That is sweet! As others have said, you definitely need some pumpkins for that

WalkingLightly:

Do you have a specific question that isn't already answered in the video and/or the description on youtube?
