CCW-Will it pass today in WI???
So TODAY is the final step in the process of getting CCW passed here......finally. out of the 100 assembly people - 66 are needed to override the governers VETO. They are saying like 2 members are on the fence and haven't voiced what they will vote for. It will be decided or not on 1 vote or so. 64 or 65 have said they will override it. It will be close and it starts at 11am. Please say a prayer or something so that this state can break free of its 133 year ban on this issue and we can protect ourselfs and loved ones (legally) if need be. I won't lie, I lost a little sleep over this last night.

Yeah I hope it will pass too. IF it does there still a lot that will be necessary. I can't wait to see what hoops they make us jump through to get a CCW if it passes. The first issues should be interesting.

currently in partisan caucus. The dems are worried or it would have been voted right away.
Listen in, stay updated or check it out. WI state legislature. |

What a crock. Channel 6 news last night took a poll. 84% said yes to PPA, and only14% voted no. The biggest disparancy of numbers they ever had. Boy am I pi$$ed.

Democrats must be proud, all but 3 voted no and every Republican voted yes.
Tell us again how there's no differance between the party's, they're just names. kenny b |

I feel for my neighbors to the North.
I feel you pain with having anti-gun politicians controlling your state. Here in Illinois we can only hope that one day soon Mayor Daley and Governor Blagoievich will be out of office. I was really hoping that Wisconsin would get their CCW law passed, every state that gets it just shows the few remaining without it how ridiculous it all is. The only thing we can do is to continue to vote against legislators who vote for gun control.

If I were you, I'd take the family on an "exodus" to a state that honors the 2nd Ammendment. Tell me again how not allowing law abiding citizens to bear arms is not an infringement of this right.

yup, sad sad day here in wisconsin.. The funny thing is, the 2 votes we were short, the democrats that voted for it in 2003 and also voted to override veto in 2003.. but now in 06, the vote against it. If I could use any words on this site,.. I'd go off for like 27 paragraphs about all my thoughts on that. All I can say is I'm gonna vote republican all across the board... Even if we get a pro-gun governor, if we loose the republicans controling the houses, we'll never get a vote on it, kinda like what happened in,. 02 was it.. Feel free to check out wisconsin concealed carry organization i think it's called.. Do a search for wisconsin concealed carry, u'll see it.. Tehy thell the story a lot better than i just did..

All these idiots just did was make criminals safer and law abiding citizens criminals if they decide to exercise their constitutional right to arm themselves.
![]() Cause , I'm sure by doing this that the criminals will leave their guns at home now. ![]() Maybe all gun owners of Wisconsin should buy leg holsters and start walking around out in the open with their gun ... THAT's LEGAL in Wisconsin , even though it would cause much more tension among citizens and with law enforcement. Frickin idiots. Time for me to go buy a S&W 460 XVR and a holster and walk around with that thing hanging down to my knee ... that'd go over REAL good I'm sure. ![]() And though I'd scare every man woman and child in the area and probably draw gun's pointed at me from Police ... I'd be LEGAL. |
