Lever action caliber conversion?
Is it possible to convert a lever action, from any manufacturer, in .45LC to .45ACP? I read about some Winchester's ( 1886 models I think) that were made in .45 acp and shipped to South America and thought it was a pretty cool idea. Would it be more trouble than it's worth?
Thanks for the help, Rob |

I have heard of the South American .45 ACP lever actions. I think they were Spanish Tigres, copies of Winchester 92.
Ed Harris converted a Marlin 1894 from .44 magnum to .45 ACP and did an article in American Rifleman about it. It sure looked like a lot of work. |

Thanks Jim. Do you happen to know which issue that was in or have a link?
