CZ 52 Sights

George: My newly acquired CZ52 shoots to the right and low. I know how to adjust for windage but what about up and down when you have fixed sights? Does anyone make an after market adjustable rear sight? What a blast when these things go off. The gun feeds and functions well so far. Thanks

DD698, with fixed sights, if you are shooting low, file a little at a time off of the front until the point of impact is where you want it. If you are shooting high you can do the same with the rear. George

Also...
They tend to shoot a bit low with some subgun ammo.
The few that I have played with have been pretty well on with pistol ammo.

Whatcha feedin it ?

An alternative to filing the rear sight is soldering or gluing a small piece of wire or bead to the top of your front sight.

I used some JB weld to glue a metal bead about the thickness of spagetti to the front sight of one of my guns with very good results. You could then file it down a bit to "fine tune", if it's too high.

ammo check!

DD298, different ammo prints different places - make sure when you adjust those sights to a given load, that's the load you want to stick with.
