Anyone know about 'Sweet 16s'?

I've got a Browning Belgian made Sweet 16 and was wondering how many were made, how many are out there, and who uses them and why? Personally, I love it and have babied it since I inherited it from my grandpa who IMHO didn't clean it enough. Thanks...

My dad has a pair of old Belgian-made Auto-5s that belonged to his dad. One is a 12ga and the other is the Sweet Sixteen and there's an extra barrel in there somewhere (can't remember which guage). Both are in immaculate condition. Neither gets used anymore. The last time either of them was shot was about ten years ago. They're just sitting in the case gaining value at this point.

I saw an old used banged-up Sixteen in a local gun shop recently, and they were asking $800 for it.

So now we know....There are at least three Sweet Sixteens in this world.

Pre-WWi 16ga guns, introduced in 1936, had 2 9/16" chamber. You need to have the chamber checked for size. This series was Mfg'd by FN, Belgium, between 1903 and 1939. The first appeared in the United States in 1923.
