Case trimming and lube
When I trim my cases (Lyman power universal trimmer) they sometimes stick on the pilot and are hard to pull back off. Would there be any harm in spraying case lube (RCBS Case Slick) on the pilot?
I can't think of a down side so if there is one let me know. |

You can use a spray case lube by Hornady. It does not affect primer or powder. If you consider how rifle cases are resized, you have to lube the inside of the neck anyway. Spray lube is all I use. I put a light coating down each side and hit the inside of the necks for resizing. This coating is still there when I trim.

Dogjaw, thanks, I'll try that. I have been cleaning the lube off after resizing. Next time I'll wait until after trimming.
