USFA -vs- Colt SAA prices

I love a SAA pony like most do, but the prices!
So, I took a peek at the highly regarded USFA Colt SAA clones. To my surprise, they are nearly as expensive. Maybe because they stopped production in 2011, and are sought after because of that?
For a few hundred dollars more, I'll take the 3rd gen Colt SAA.

They're sought after because they're that good. I'd take a USFA over a Colt given the choice.

USFA is a better gun in all aspects.

That's good to know. Maybe I can do without the little horsey after all!
I've read, maybe here, that USFA made the best ones after serial number 22500. Don't know if there's any truth to it.

The real Colt SAA will always be more valuable than any clone ...
If you can ... Go with the real deal ... Colt !

If you want collectability go Colt. If you want to shoot it go USFA. USFA is a better fit and finished gun than Colt.

Little-known trivia: The USFA factory was actually located in the original Colt factory on the Connecticut River in Hartford, while Colt's factory had moved to a more modern facility in West Hartford, Connecticut.

I've noticed that the USFA Rodeo has a matt blue finish, and the Rodeo II has a polished blue finish. Some black grips have the "US" at the top and others have the eagle on the bottom. Does anyone know about either of these differences?
