Thompson Center is back

This popped up--of all places--on my facebook page this morning. My apologies if this was already common knowledge and feel free to delete. An interesting interview nonetheless.

Nice,
I have had a need for a Contender in .375 Winchester for too long.
12” or maybe even a rifle, I would want sights on the barrels either way.
Sincerely hope they can make a go of it.

Always wanted a Contender.
Probably in 7-30 Waters.

I was dwelling on my TC/Contender early today. I even dry fired my Gen 1 complete with 45-70 Govt. 12” Hunter Bbl. Burris IER Scope.
I bagged one wild boar with that combo. I am going to resurrect my .35 Remington barrel. I got an exotic Ram with that .35. Both over 60 yards.
Also changing the wood to Pachmayer rubber ( Gripper -finger swell grips & forearm)

T/C news?

Excellent news and hope all goes well for them.

Have been hunting w/ T/C gen 1 and gen 2 configurations for a very longtime with great success. 7-30 Waters for deer with an 18" barrel and accounts for many one shot kills.
Wild hogs with .357 Maximum with a 14" barrel is also a one shot killer. Many other barrels as well.
Great news.

T/C

They are running a bunch of YouTube videos that are interesting. Not really applicable to this forum, but I wish they would bring back the small bore muzzleloader line (Cherokee and Seneca). I bet a lot of folks would be interested in the plain Jane Renegade as well.

I've never owned one of their centerfire guns.

I already own two T/C Contender frames with several barrels. Really don’t need any more, but maybe the price of used barrels will come down now.

Already own;
7-30 Waters (my fav)
44 Magnum
223
22 Hornet
22 Match
22 LR

I really like my Gen 1. It would be great to see a Gen 1 premium with a string of modern 45000 psi hunting calibers released. Maybe sell 1lb - 5lb trigger springs. Premium hardwood, laminate and rubber grip/forend sets.

Also develop a 6-8” version in 22, 32-20, 357 mag, 44 mag, 45 colt, 454 casull.

As for Gen 2 and Encore, I don’t see the value, but maybe I’m short sighted.

Very excited for this . I live about 45 min south of TC . I also have a scoped Encore pistol with a MGM 15" bull barrel chambered in . 243 Win. Really fun smacking gongs at 200 yds .
