French MAS 45 .22 caliber training rifle. Thoughts?
I don't know why, but this rifle appeals to me, and from what I've read, it seems as well made and accurate as, say, the Mossberg 44US, which I also like. The US government stamp is a big draw for me, but the MAW still has militaria appeal.
Any suggestions? Which one? Find a minty and safe queen it? Find a "good" condition one and fire it? I already have a .22 rifle and revolver, but nothing government related. Thanks! |

Having had one since `88, it's a superb military form-feel/Mauser trainer.
https://gear-report.com/french-mas-m...-rifle-review/ Get it if available If going for Best Value/Flex All-Round, also consider the CZ 455-457 series |

Ouch.... That's a 'bit' much, even as much as I like the rifle,
Doubly consider the CZ for half that (max) in that light. |

I did look at the CZ. very nice, but I'd like to stick with a government trainer. Mossberg made one which I like as well. Minty ones demand big dollars also. |
