How do you usually carry?
How do you usually carry?
And by "usually" I mean: most of the time that you actually carry. |

Inside the waist,I dislike it.
Unfortunately with the cloths I wear in Florida it’s the most concealable. |

OTW. Kydex holster, Glock 19 4th gen. Florida shirts conceal well. I carry all the time, at home, outside. Spare G17 magazine also.

IWB at 4 o'clock. Tried pocket carry with my 9mm shield, it looks like a have a box stuck in my pocket. I'm concerned about consistent coverage with OWB, especially living in IL, a low-forgiveness state.
Last week when I was hiking I just went back to the handy fanny pack, worked well. |

IWB at 3:30 or 4:00 most commonly. I have a pocket pistol and holster I use when IWB doesn't work.

I've been carrying IWB about 4:30 or pocket carry a J-frame for most of the time I've had a CCL.
Pocket carry is not my preferred method due to slower draw (and it uses up a pocket) but has unfortunately been the only method that works for me in work clothes, so work days to and from work is J-frame in a pocket. Any other time, IWB with a semi-auto. For nearly a year now I've been carrying AIWB and I like it a lot better than IWB for many reasons, but I will only carry a hammer fired gun this way so I can put my thumb on the hammer as I holster.

I pocket carried for a long time, but it is definitely slower to draw from. It is also hard to carry a decent sized gun with pocket carry.

I've even tried the thumb on the rear of the slide or hammer trick and yes it helps get the gun out of the pocket, but I can't get a repeatable and consistent firing grip to manage recoil properly with 3 or 5 rapid shots right out of the pocket. Sometimes pocket carry is a necessity for me, so I train for it, but I greatly prefer AIWB whenever the situation allows.

Depends what my flavor is that day. If I have a craving for .45 acp I carry my full size 1911 iwb, if I'm .357, the revolver goes owb.

Depends on my mood. I almost always carried a 1911 or BHP OWB, but lately have been using a couple IWB holsters w/ them, especially my new ACW "Commander".

I always carry a Glock model 43 in right front pocket, holster.
I also carry a Glock model 29 in a Galco classic shoulder holster, about 90% of the time. Can't be too careful. Last edited by Carne Frio; August 11, 2020 at 10:49 PM. |
