Got Mec Jr so . . . .

Loaders:
Re previous inquiries about loading 410 I got recommendations to get a Mec Jr. Recent auction had a used one and I got it for about $50. Have not started the research on line to learn to use it or get whatever parts I might need to load 410. Thought I'd throw it out here to ask for help.

Talk to me please.

Life is good.

I own one of those, but upgraded to a MEC progressive. The Jr was discontinued in 1985. But you can STILL download the manual for it.
I called them with a question about 12 g 2 3/4 steel shot loads data and going over max because my Rem 11-87 was not cycling 100% in early 1990's. Within 24 hours, Tom Roster (load development consultant) called me back. We talked for hours. Over max was OK (but not indicated) with that load, but, 11-87 should have been cycling. He gave me very specific instructions on cleaning the tiny groves way inside the receiver. We also talked about sealing shellmouths with candle wax in wet environments. That cleaning solved the problem. The wax was effective for brief immersion. We talked for an hour about hunting at my favorite sandbar and back pond. I bought a Benelli 3 1/2" for steel shot.
My point is they were extremely helpful. Study the manual and parts diagram linked above, then call them.
