45 colt brass ... The rim life in Ruger only loads for lever actions

So I load to Ruger only loads in 45 colt. I use these loads in a Blackhawk and also in a Rossi 45 colt. It seems that after a 2 to 3 loadings ... The rim on the case where the extractor grabs (levergun)...gets flatter and wider...makes my lever fail to extract sometimes...
Anyone else seen or have this happen?

I’ve loaded for numerous .45LC handguns and rifles for over 45 years and can’t say I’ve ever seen what you describe. Can you post a photo? What was the load you were using, bullet brass powder?
