Browning Auto 5
A friend of mine has a Browning A5 and is curious about its age/value. I've been unable to find out much info about it. The serial number is:
1R 78XXX Any information would be greatly appreciated. He says it's a Sweet Sixteen. |

Like all used things it depends on the condition.
I'd say, looking at Gun Broker, it could go for $500-1100, for good to excellent condition. |

The 1R prefix is from a 1961 standard model 16 gauge.
If the gun is a Sweet Sixteen it will have a gold plated trigger. |

More importantly, if the gun is a Sweet Sixteen, it will say so on the receiver.
