1897 black powder shooting test

Epic failure on the slamfire. Not sure if it was my paper shells/crimps or the shotgun follower. Lots of smoke.

Man it took a bit of work to clean the shotgun that evening.

Did you use real black powder or a black powder substitute?

For me, 80 grains of Goex FFg and 1 1/8 ounce shot breaks trap birds as good as modern shells do.

I used a sub. 30 grains of pyrodex rs.
