Glock 3.5# Connector + NY1 Trigger

Hey all,

A quick question for those who've modified stock triggers on their Glocks with the Glock 3.5# (-) connector and the NY1 trigger spring. I'm looking at swapping out the standard trigger on my G19 Gen 4 with them (the 19 is my primary defensive gun, so I'm looking for a combination of smoother trigger pull without a decrease in pull weight).

Does this combination do a good job of smoothing out the stock trigger while keeping the pull weight around the stock 5.5# and keeping the reset as great as it is out of the box?

Thanks everyone.

BW I tried that when I got my first Glock. Didn't like it at all. Trigger pull with NY trigger was considerably longer than stock and I didn't shoot well with it at all. Not only was the trigger longer, but also jerky and creepy and I ended up putting it back like it was, but who knows, YMMV.

Re: Glock 3.5# Connector + NY1 Trigger

If you just add the connector it will make the trigger pull a little more crisp. If it decreases the pull weight then it will be by less than half a pound. To actually decrease the pull weight you actually have to change springs.

A 3.5 and a NY-1 certainly feels heavier overall than stock. And it's not actually a longer pull, it's just that the take up slack gets heavier, making it feel longer. Trigger reset is even more positive than stock, you can really feel the reset.
I used that combo for IDPA in a G19 and a G34. It's not the best for paper punching though, you loose most of the 'crispness' of the standard trigger.

Thanks guys. Sounds like the worst that will happen is I won't like it and I'll be out 2 bucks for the NY1 spring. I'm sure I can find a use for the connector, even if not on the G19.

Or who knows, I might like it. Nice thing about Glocks is being able to fiddle around with them like this for not a lot of money.
