Powder loads

I have a CZ75B and my reload heads are 127 grain. I believe the recommended load is between 3.9 and 4.3 grain. Is it better to go with the maximum load or to go between the maximum and minimum?

Stay safe by staying within recommended ranges.
Depends on what you want to accomplish; are you looking for velocity, max power factor, etc.

Keep in mind that the closer you are to max load, the more you subject you components to wear and tear.

I tend to start at the lower end and tweak up depending on how it feels when shooting.

My current load is:
6.0-6.1 of Hodgdon HS-6
9mm 124 BBI moly coated bullet (.593 length).
1.143 OAL

It is a little dirty (some unburned powder) in my 1911 but seems good in other guns (M&P, Sig, Xdm).
With HS-6, double charges are easy to spot because it overfills the 9mm case.

Start low and work up...always. Besides, what are these loads for? If your just killing cans or paper, there is no need for max loads. You will also find that in most cases, your most accurate load will be comfortably under max.
FWIW, my CZ 75 BD seems to shoot pretty much everything well.

Sorry I should have mentioned the powder is MP200 made by Sochem. I doubt it is available in the USA so you will probably not be familiar with it. It is classified as a fast burning powder.

Load a few with 3.9 and a few with 4.1.
Test fire.
If the 3.9 functions the gun positively, then that is enough.
If it does not or seems weak, go to the 4.1.
I would not use a maximum load of such a fast burning powder if I could avoid it.
